1. The Boeing Everett Factory The Boeing Everett Factory, located in Washington State, holds the distinction of being the world’s largest factory with a surface area of 398,000 m² (98.3 acres). This facility serves as the production site for Boeing’s aircraft models, including the 767, 747, 777, and the 787 Dreamliner. Construction of the factory began in 1966 to meet the demand for the 747s. The facility employs approximately 30,000 people and offers amenities such as a museum, restaurants and coffee shops, a fire station, theatre, and a general store. It even features a 2.33-mile long pedestrian tunnel running underneath the factory.
2. Jean-Luc Lagardere Factory Situated in Toulouse-Blagnac, France, the Jean-Luc Lagardere factory is responsible for the final assembly of the Airbus A330. This factory brings together components manufactured across Europe and conducts thorough testing before delivering the aircraft. Covering an area of 122,500 m² (494 acres), the factory boasts a 49-acre test runway located outside its premises. Alongside the assembly line, the factory includes restaurants and a fluid and energy production plant
